The mission of Chi Alpha is to reconcile students to Christ to transform the university, the marketplace, and the world. Our goal is to see students come to know Jesus, be raised up as leaders, and be sent out to reach their fellow students for Christ.
We believe that if we can affect the university campuses of America, we can affect the culture at large. College is an important time in a student’s life, and we want them to use it to honor God.
Secular university campuses are the world’s most strategic mission field. We believe that we can change the world from Canyon, Texas by leading students to Christ, and then sending them into their career field or across the world as missionaries!

I first got involved with Chi Alpha as a student at Texas Tech University. It was through being in a small group that my walk with Jesus deepened, and I grew a desire to see other people walk with Jesus. These last three years I have had the joy of being a campus missionary to Texas Tech University where I meet lost students and invite them to walk with Jesus in a small group like I did!
Since being in Chi Alpha at Texas Tech in 2016, Erynn and I learned that there are several colleges across West Texas with no Chi Alpha inviting students to come and see Jesus in a community. We want to help change that! We are going to move to Canyon, Texas with our son Smith to pioneer a new Chi Alpha group at West Texas A&M. We want to do for others what was done for us at Texas Tech. We’d like to invite you to be part of our mission by giving, praying, and subscribing to our newsletter!
I started walking with Jesus my junior year of high school. The first major thing I prayed for was where to go to college and for a community of people who also wanted to follow Jesus. The Lord led me to the University of Texas at San Antonio and within the first week I got connected with Chi Alpha. I was loved super well by people around me, and I was taught how to surrender everything in obedience to Jesus. Then the Lord brought me back home to Lubbock where I joined Texas Tech Chi Alpha. I’ve continued to grow in obedience to the Lord, and now I am part of helping other people do the same.
I am excited to love students well at West Texas A&M in Canyon! Our family has the opportunity to be a family to people there. We are so grateful to be a part of bringing lost souls into God’s kingdom.
I’m pretty new to the team. I’m still figuring out how to do most things, so I'll mainly be tagging along with my mom and dad. But I hear we’re on an adventure to love people and glorify God!
